Program

Mimo is an SMS messaging service that connects hospitality staff with their guests through temporary, masked phone numbers. All texts are routed through a proxy number so that neither party's real phone number is revealed. Sessions expire automatically after a set duration.

Consent

A hospitality host shares a masked proxy number with you in person, either verbally or on a printed card, alongside the disclosure: "Text this number to connect with your host. Powered by Mimo. Msg & data rates may apply." By texting this number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Mimo related to your hospitality session. No messages are sent until you text in first.

Message Frequency

Up to 3 system messages per session: a connection confirmation, an optional host notification, and a farewell when the session ends. All other messages are peer-to-peer between you and your host. No recurring or promotional messages are sent.

Sample Messages

"You're now connected with Alex. Powered by Mimo — your number is private. Reply STOP to end, HELP for info."

"Your session with Alex has ended. This number is no longer active."

Opt-Out

Reply STOP at any time to opt out and end your session. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Mimo does not charge for the service; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.

Privacy

Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your mobile opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties.
