What Mimo Does

Mimo is a phone number masking service that allows a concierge and a VIP guest to communicate via text and voice without revealing their personal phone numbers to each other.

Data We Collect

When you use Mimo, we collect phone numbers of both participants (used solely to establish the masked session), names provided by the concierge (used to identify participants), and session metadata including creation time, expiration time, and status. Mimo does not store message content — messages are routed through Twilio's proxy service.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to create and manage masked phone sessions, route calls and texts between participants without exposing real phone numbers, and send session notifications such as connection confirmations or session expiry alerts.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose unrelated to the service. Your phone number is shared with Twilio, our telecommunications provider, solely for the purpose of routing calls and messages. Twilio's handling of your data is governed by Twilio's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Session data is retained only for the duration of the session. Once a session is closed or expires, the associated data may be deleted.
